Council SWCS Golf Tournament

The 2001 annual SWCS golf tournament will be
played at the Diamondback Golf Club, 1510 E. Industrial Blvd.

, on June 13th
2001. This is a Charles Coody designed and owned course that has only been in
operation for about a year in Abilene. It is an excellent 18 hole course. The $50.00
fee will include cart, green fee, practice balls, lunch and a good time.

One prize has been secured for a HOLE-IN-ONE on #11, a 150-yard, par 3
hole. The first HOLE-IN-ONE will win a NEW 2001 model full-size Chevrolet
pick-up from LAWRENCE HALL CHEVROLET in Abilene. In addition, the first 3 teams will be
paid a cash prize as follows: 1st - $160 ($80 each), 2nd - $130 ($65 each),
and 3rd - $110 ($55 each). Closest to the pin - $25, longest drive - $25. All of these
prizes are underwritten by WEST TEXAS FORD of Anson. The format will be a 2-man
scramble, paired based on handicap using a total handicap for the two-person team.

for more information. Let him know as soon as possible if you are planning on
being at the golf tournament. The more we have register for the conference and
golf tournament the better price we can get at the course and the better the prizes
will be. If you have a 1 or 50 handicap you will have a chance to win. It only takes 1 good shot to win the
pick-up!
